Sir Archibald Cockburn was the son of Sir Alexander Cockburn of Langton, 6th Bt. and Mary Ancrum.2,3 He married Lady Mary Campbell, daughter of John Campbell of Glenorchy, 1st Earl of Breadalbane and Holland and Mildred Littler, on 11 April 1719.2 He died in January 1735.4
