Patrick Home was born in 1434 at Wedderburn Castle, Berwickshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of David Home of Wedderburn, younger and Elizabeth Carmichael.1 He married, firstly, Margaret St. Clair, daughter of John St. Clair of Herdmandston and Polwarth and Katherine Home.3 He married, secondly, Helen Shaw before 24 March 1490.3 He died in November 1503.3

Sir David Home of Wedderburn was the son of Sir John Home of that Ilk.2 He married Alice (?)1 He died circa 28 February 1452/53.1
In 1413 he had a charter for Wedderburn from the 4th Earl of Douglas, the charter being confirmed by the 10th Earl of Dunbar on his restitution and by King James I on 19 April 1431.1
