     John Home was the son of Alexander Home, Master of Home and Agnes Hepburn.1 A contract for the marriage of John Home and Margaret Ker was signed on 20 March 1471/72.1 He died circa 22 June 1493.1
     John Home lived at Ersilton, Scotland.1 He held the office of Scottish Ambassador to England in 1491.1

     Lady Vere Kerr was born on 24 April 1649. She was the daughter of William Kerr, 1st Earl of Lothian and Anne Kerr.1 She married Lord Neil Campbell, son of Archibald Campbell, 1st Marquess of Argyll and Lady Margaret Douglas, on 28 January 1668.1
     Her married name became Campbell.
