     Sir Francis David Somerville Head, 5th Bt. was born on 17 October 1916.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Pollock Somerville Head, 4th Bt. and Grace Margaret Robertson.2 He married, firstly, Susan Patricia Ramsay, daughter of Arthur Douglas Ramsay and Winifred Mabel Turner, on 11 February 1950.2 He and Susan Patricia Ramsay were divorced in 1966.2 He married, secondly, Penelope Marion Acheson Alexander, daughter of Wilfrid Archibald Alexander and Mary Prudence Acheson, on 25 January 1967.1 He and Susan Patricia Ramsay were divorced in 1965.2 He died on 16 December 2005 at age 89.3
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Head, of Rochester [U.K., 1838] on 21 June 1924.2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Peterhouse College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1937 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He gained the rank of Major in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and became a POW.2 He was Assist Military Attaché to Helsinki between 1948 and 1950.2 He lived in 2003 at 63 Chantry View Road, Guildford, Surrey, EnglandG.2
