     Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Hope Troubridge was born on 1 February 1895.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Ernest Charles Thomas Troubridge and Edith Mary Duffus.1 He married Lily Emily Kleinwort, daughter of Herman Greverus Kleinwort and Marguerite Marie Jeanne Gunther, on 5 August 1925.1 He died on 29 September 1949 at age 54.1
     He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).2 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).2
