     James Dunbar was born on 20 June 1778.¹ He was the son of Sir George Dunbar of Mochrum, 5th Bt. and Jane Rowe.² He married Anna Catharina van Reede d'Oudtshoorn, daughter of Baron William Ferdinand van Reede d'Oudtshoorn, on 11 April 1811.¹ He died on 31 January 1840 at age 61.¹
     James Dunbar gained the rank of Officer in the service of the 21st Light Dragoons.¹

     Anna Catharina van Reede d'Oudtshoorn was the daughter of Baron William Ferdinand van Reede d'Oudtshoorn.² She married James Dunbar, son of Sir George Dunbar of Mochrum, 5th Bt. and Jane Rowe, on 11 April 1811.¹ She died on 3 November 1860.¹
     From 11 April 1811, her married name became Dunbar.

     Sir William Dunbar of Mochrum, 7th Bt. was born on 2 March 1812.¹ He was the son of James Dunbar and Anna Catharina van Reede d'Oudtshoorn.² He married Catherine Hay Paterson, daughter of James Paterson of Carpow and Jane Hay, on 7 January 1842.¹ He died on 18 December 1889 at age 77.¹
     Sir William Dunbar of Mochrum, 7th Bt. succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Dunbar, of Mochrum, co. Wigtown [N.S., 1694] on 22 June 1841.¹ He held the office of a Lord of Treasury.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Wigtownshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wigtownshire.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigtown Burghs between 1857 and 1865.¹ He was Keeper of the Privy Seal for the Prince of Wales between 1859 and 1865.¹ He was Keeper of the Great Seal of the Prince of Wales for Scotland between 1863 and 1865.¹ He was a member of the Council of the Duchy of Cornwall between 1863 and 1865.¹ He held the office of Comptroller-General of the Royal Exchequer and Auditor-General between 1867 and 1888.¹

     James Paterson of Carpow married Jane Hay, daughter of James Balfour Hay of Leys and Randerston.¹
     James Paterson of Carpow lived at Carpow, Perthshire, Scotland.¹

     Catherine Hay Paterson was the daughter of James Paterson of Carpow and Jane Hay.^2,1 She married Sir William Dunbar of Mochrum, 7th Bt., son of James Dunbar and Anna Catharina van Reede d'Oudtshoorn, on 7 January 1842.¹ She died on 2 April 1890.¹
     From 7 January 1842, her married name became Dunbar.

     Sir Uthred James Hay Dunbar of Mochrum, 8th Bt. was born on 26 February 1843.¹ He was the son of Sir William Dunbar of Mochrum, 7th Bt. and Catherine Hay Paterson.² He married Lucy Blanche Cordelia Grant, daughter of Charles Thomas Constantine Grant of Kilgraston and Pitkeathly, on 20 April 1882.¹ He died on 4 September 1904 at age 61, without issue.¹
     Sir Uthred James Hay Dunbar of Mochrum, 8th Bt. graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He was a practising barrister.¹ He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Dunbar, of Mochrum, co. Wigtown [N.S., 1694] on 18 December 1889.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).¹

     Lucy Blanche Cordelia Grant is the daughter of Charles Thomas Constantine Grant of Kilgraston and Pitkeathly.² She married Sir Uthred James Hay Dunbar of Mochrum, 8th Bt., son of Sir William Dunbar of Mochrum, 7th Bt. and Catherine Hay Paterson, on 20 April 1882.¹
     From 20 April 1882, her married name became Dunbar.

     Lily Emily Kleinwort was the daughter of Herman Greverus Kleinwort.¹ She married Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Hope Troubridge, son of Admiral Sir Ernest Charles Thomas Troubridge and Edith Mary Duffus, on 5 August 1925.¹ She died on 17 April 1983.¹
     From 5 August 1925, her married name became Troubridge.¹
