     Hon. Niall Greville Chaplin was born on 2 August 1908.2 He was the son of Eric Chaplin, 2nd Viscount Chaplin and Hon. Gwladys Alice Gertrude Wilson.2 He married, firstly, Audrey Clara Lilian Latham, daughter of Sir Thomas Paul Latham, 1st Bt. and Florence Clara Walley, on 28 February 1948.3 He and Audrey Clara Lilian Latham were divorced in 1952.3 He married, secondly, Angela Marjory Lambton, daughter of Hon. Claud Lambton and Lettice Wormald, on 9 June 1961.1 He died on 8 February 1963 at age 54.1

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Stewart Graham Menzies was born in 1890.3 He was the son of John Graham Menzies and Susannah West Wilson.1,3 He married, firstly, Lady Avice Ela Murial Sackville, daughter of Gilbert George Reginald Sackville, 8th Earl De La Warr and Lady Muriel Agnes Brassey, on 28 November 1918.4 He and Lady Avice Ela Murial Sackville were divorced in 1931.4 He married, secondly, Pamela Thetis Beckett, daughter of Hon. Rupert Evelyn Beckett and Muriel Helen Florence Paget, on 13 December 1932.4 He married, thirdly, Audrey Clara Lilian Latham, daughter of Sir Thomas Paul Latham, 1st Bt. and Florence Clara Walley, on 12 December 1952.1 He died on 29 May 1968.4
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)4 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)4 He gained the rank of Major-General in the 2nd Life Guards.4 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)4 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)4 He was Head of MI6 between 1939 and 1952.5

     Eric Chaplin, 2nd Viscount Chaplin was born on 27 September 1877 at London, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Henry Chaplin, 1st Viscount Chaplin and Lady Florence Sutherland-Leveson-Gower.1 He was baptised at Blankney, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.2 He married Hon. Gwladys Alice Gertrude Wilson, daughter of Charles Henry Wilson, 1st Baron Nunburnholme and Florence Jane Helen Wellesley, on 3 August 1905 at Warter Priory, York, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2 He died on 12 September 1949 at age 71.3
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of officer circa 1900 in the Staffordshire Yeomanry.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1914 in the Queen's Own Staffordshire Yeomanry.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1917, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)4 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Chaplin, of St. Oswald's, Blankney, co.
