     James Thomas Burke was born in 1828.1 He was the son of John Hardiman Burke and Anne O'Hara.2 He died in 1854 at Giurgevo, killed in action.1
     James Thomas Burke was decorated with the award of Gold Mejidieh (for gallantry in crossing the Danube).1 He gained the rank of in the service of the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the Crimean War.1

     Reverend Henry Peter Higginson married, firstly, Annabella James in 1862 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Charlotte Bateman-Hanbury, daughter of William Bateman-Hanbury, 1st Baron Bateman of Shobdon and Elizabeth Chichester, on 2 June 1886 at Geneva, Switzerland.1 He married, thirdly, Mary Elizabeth Annie Dunne, daughter of Captain John Joseph Dunne and Isabella George-Byron, in October 1888 at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A..1 He died in 1889.1
     His marriage to Hon. Charlotte Bateman-Hanbury was annulled in September 1887.1 His name was legally changed to Henry Peter Higginson-Whyte-Melville by Deed Poll.1

     Anne Celestine Burke was the daughter of John Hardiman Burke and Anne O'Hara.2 She married, firstly, Major Francis Horatio de Vere, son of Sir Aubrey de Vere, 2nd Bt., in 1856.1 She married, secondly, Reverend Charlton Maxwell in 1873.1 She died in December 1914.1
     From 1856, her married name became de Vere.1 From 1873, her married name became Maxwell. She lived at Issercleran, Craughwell, County Galway, Ireland.1

     Major Francis Horatio de Vere was the son of Sir Aubrey de Vere, 2nd Bt.1 He married Anne Celestine Burke, daughter of John Hardiman Burke and Anne O'Hara, in 1856.1 He died on 22 August 1865.1
     Major Francis Horatio de Vere gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Engineers.1

     Mary de Vere was the daughter of Major Francis Horatio de Vere and Anne Celestine Burke.2 She married, firstly, Major William Utting Cole, son of William Henry Cole, on 18 December 1879.1 She married, secondly, Brig.-Gen. Herbert William Studd on 19 April 1894.1 She died on 14 May 1930.1
     From 18 December 1879, her married name became Cole. From 19 April 1894, her married name became Studd.1 She lived at Issercleran, Craughwell, County Galway, Ireland.1

     Eleanor Hester de Vere was born on 10 July 1862.1 She was the daughter of Major Francis Horatio de Vere and Anne Celestine Burke.2 She married Sir Frederick William Shaw, 5th Bt. on 8 July 1885.1 She died on 13 February 1946 at age 83.1
     From 8 July 1885, her married name became Shaw.
