     Mary Elizabeth Annie Dunne was born on 14 December 1859 at Emerald, Victoria, AustraliaG.1 She was also reported to have been born on 14 December 1859 at Auckland, New ZealandG.1 She was the daughter of Captain John Joseph Dunne and Isabella George-Bynon.1 She married, firstly, Reverend Henry Peter Higginson, son of Henry Higginson and Anna Rountree, in October 1888 at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.G.1 She married, secondly, Egerton Tertius Clairmonte, son of Adolphus Julian Clairmonte and Catherine Barber, on 30 November 1891 at The Strand, London, EnglandG.1 She and Egerton Tertius Clairmonte were divorced on 18 February 1901.1 She married, thirdly, Reginald Edward Golding Bright, son of Dr. John Meaburn Bright and Fanny Kenyon Mallinson, on 11 July 1901 at London, EnglandG.1 She died on 12 August 1945 at age 85 at London, EnglandG.1
     Mary Elizabeth Annie Dunne used the pen-name of George Egerton.1 Her name was legally changed to Mary Chavelita Dunne.1 From October 1888, her married name became Higginson.1 From 30 November 1891, her married name became Clairmonte.1 From 11 July 1901, her married name became Bright.1

     Egerton Tertius Clairmonte was born on 11 February 1862 at Cope, Eastern Cape, South AfricaG.1 He was the son of Adolphus Julian Clairmonte and Catherine Barber.1 He married Mary Elizabeth Annie Dunne, daughter of Captain John Joseph Dunne and Isabella George-Bynon, on 30 November 1891 at The Strand, London, EnglandG.1 He and Mary Elizabeth Annie Dunne were divorced on 18 February 1901.1 He died on 24 March 1901 at age 39 at Christian Hospital, Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.1
     He wrote the book The Africander: a Plain Tale of Colonial Life, published 1896.1

     He was educated at Basle, SwitzerlandG.1 He was educated at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Gloucestershire Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1
