     Alfred Edward Denny was born in 1844.1 He was the son of William Denny and Marianne Trueman.2 He married Mary Harriet Scott Stokes, daughter of Henry Grout Stokes, on 26 February 1870.1 He died on 22 February 1903.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.1

Ian Leslie-Melville and Charlotte Isabel Stirling, on 14 June 1941.1 He married, secondly, Susan Craigie Hamilton, daughter of Rt. Rev. Eric Knightley Chetwode Hamilton and Jessie Cassels, on 8 May 1948.2
     He gained the rank of Major in the Lovat Scouts.1
