     James St. George Burke was born on 20 December 1804.1 He was the son of John French Burke and Katherine Sarah Thorne.2 He married Anne Eliza Grubbe, daughter of John Grubbe, on 3 December 1835.1 He died on 25 February 1881 at age 76.1
     James St. George Burke was a practising solicitor in 1831.1 He was admitted to Middle Temple entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He purchased Auberies in 1857.1 He was invested as a Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1863.1
