     Robert Dunsmuir was born on 31 August 1825.2 He married Joan Olive White, daughter of Alexander White and Agnes Crooks, on 11 September 1847.1,2 He died on 12 April 1889 at age 63.2
     He and Joan Olive White emigrated along with their children to Fort Vancouver, Washington, U.S.A., arriving on 8 July 1851 on board the Pekin.2 He lived at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.3

     Joan Olive White was born circa 1828.2 She was the daughter of Alexander White and Agnes Crooks.2 She married Robert Dunsmuir on 11 September 1847.1,2
     From 11 September 1847, her married name became Dunsmuir.2 She and Robert Dunsmuir emigrated along with their children to Fort Vancouver, Washington, U.S.A., arriving on 8 July 1851 on board the Pekin.2
