     Henry Randall Burroughes was born on 12 May 1863 at Hoveton Hall, Hoveton St. Peter, Norfolk, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Randall Burroughes and Hon. Emily Harbord.¹ He married Emily Ellen Dunsmuir, daughter of Robert Dunsmuir and Joan Olive White, on 6 October 1904 at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Norfolk Regiment.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹

     Margaret Clutterbuck was the daughter of Lewis Clutterbuck.¹ She married Cadwallader Coker, son of Thomas Coker and Mary Hearst.¹
