Commander Henry James Francis Cavendish was born on 17 August 1893.1 He was the son of Captain Henry Frederick Compton Cavendish and Lady Harriet Castalia Godolphin Osborne.1 He married Dola Frances Dunsmuir, daughter of Hon. James Dunsmuir and Laura Miller Surles, in 1928.1 He and Dola Frances Dunsmuir were divorced in 1934.1 He died on 30 June 1956 at age 62, without issue.1
