     George Ramsay Maitland was born on 19 January 1821.2 He was the son of Alexander Maitland.1 He married Alice Ann Nisbet, daughter of Josiah Nisbet and Rachel Marjoribanks, on 19 September 1848.1 He died on 24 June 1866 at age 45.2
