     James Bayley was baptised on 4 February 1673/74 at Collegiate Church, Manchester, Lancashire, England.1 He married Sarah Kirkes, daughter of Samuel Kirkes, on 3 January 1698.1 He died on 7 April 1753 at age 79.1 He was buried at Collegiate Church, Manchester, Lancashire, England.1
     In 1745 he was a hostage held by the Pretender for the town of Manchester.1 He was a merchant at Manchester, Lancashire, England.1

     Esther Diggles was the daughter of James Diggles.1 She married Samuel Bayley, son of James Bayley and Sarah Kirkes, in 1741 at Blackley Chapel, Manchester, Lancashire, England.1 She died on 12 September 1758.1 She was buried at Cross Street Chapel, Manchester, Lancashire, England.1
     From 1741, her married name became Bayley.1

     Captain John Dalrymple was born in 1710.1 He was the son of James Dalrymple of Dunragit and Margaret Blair of Dunskey.1 He married Mary Niven in 1745.1 He died on 17 January 1746, killed in action.1
     Captain John Dalrymple gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 21st Foot.1 He fought in the Battle of Falkirk on 17 January 1746.1
