     Nicholas Bagenal was the son of Arthur Bagenal and Magdalen Trevor.1 He married, firstly, Lady Annie Charlotte Bruce, daughter of Robert Bruce, 2nd Earl of Elgin and Lady Diana Grey.1 He married, secondly, Sydney Grosvenor, daughter of Roger Grosvenor and Christian Myddleton, in a childless marriage.1 He died in 1712.1 His will (dated 13 November 1708) was probated in 1713, passing the family estates to his cousins Edward Bayly and Robert Needham, and ultimately to the Marquesses of Anglesey and the Earls of Kilmorey respectively.1
     Nicholas Bagenal held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Anglesey.1 He lived at Plâs Newydd, Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales.1 He lived at Newry, County Down, Ireland.1
