     Sir Michael Jeremiah Colman, 3rd Bt. was born on 7 July 1928.1 He is the son of Sir Jeremiah Colman, 2nd Bt. and Edith Gwendolen Tritton.3 He married Judith Jean Wallop Powlett, daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir Peveril Barton Reibey William Powlett and unknown wife (?), on 29 October 1955.1
     Sir Michael Jeremiah Colman, 3rd Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Queen's Own Yorkshire Yeomanry (RARO).1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Colman, of Gatton Park, Gatton, Surrey [U.K., 1907] on 8 January 1961.1 He was a director of Reckitt & Colman plc between 1970 and 1995.1 He was chairman of Reckitt & Colman plc between 1986 and 1995.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Hull University, Hull, Yorkshire, England, in 1993.1 He was 1st Church Estates Commissioner between 1993 and 1999.1 He was decorated with the award of Cross of St. Augustine.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.).1 He lived in 2003 at Malshanger, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.1
