Sir John Maxwell was born circa 1512.1 He was the son of Robert Maxwell, 4th Lord Maxwell and Janet Douglas. He married Agnes Herries, Lady Herries of Terregles, daughter of William Herries, 3rd Lord Herries of Terregles and Catherine Kennedy, before 18 December 1547.1 He died on 20 January 1582/83.1
On 8 May 1566 he obtained a new charter of the territorial Baronies of Terregles and Kirkgunzean to him, his wife and heirs male whatsoever.1 After his marriage, Sir John Maxwell was styled as Lord Herries of Terregles on 14 April 1567, jure uxoris.1 In 1568 he suffered confiscation for spporting Mary, Queen of Scots.1 He fought in the Battle of Langside in 1568.1 In 1569 he suffered incarceration.1

Sir Thomas Nicolson, 1st Bt. was born circa 1664.2 He was the son of Sir George Nicolson, Lord Kemney and Margaret Halyburton.2 He married Margaret Nicolson, daughter of Sir Thomas Nicolson of Carnock, 2nd Bt. and Lady Margaret Livingstone, circa 1688.2 He died on 31 August 1728, without male issue.2
He gained the title of 1st Baronet Nicolson, of Kemney, Aberdeenshire [Scotland] on 15 April 1700.2

Richard Walter Chetwynd, 7th Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven was born on 26 July 1823.1 He was the son of Richard Walter Chetwynd, 6th Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven and Mary Moss.1,2 He married Harriet Johanna Campbell, daughter of Walter Campbell and Mary Ann King, on 16 March 1858 at St. Peter's Church, Pimlico, London, EnglandG.3 He died on 23 January 1911 at age 87 at 25 Elvaston Place, Pimlico, London, EnglandG, from pneumonia.3 He was buried on 27 January 1911 at Brookwood, Surrey, EnglandG.3
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1849 in the 14th Dragoons.3 He retired from the military in 1853.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Staffordshire.1 He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven, co.
