He married Margaret Campbell, daughter of Daniel Campbell, 1st of Shawfield and Margaret Leckie, in 1721.1 He died in April 1765.2

     4th s of Walter Campbell of Islay and Shawfield.2 From 14 October 1875, her married name became Trevelyan.1
