     Edward Clinton, 5th Earl of Clinton was the son of Edward Clinton, Lord Clinton and Lady Anne Holles.2 He married Jeanne de Gulière, daughter of Pierre de Gulière, Seigneur de Verune, in 1674.1 He died on 25 November 1692, without surviving issue.1
     Edward Clinton, 5th Earl of Clinton was Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1661.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Earl of Lincoln [E., 1572] on 21 May 1667.1 He succeeded to the title of 13th Lord Clinton [E., 1299] on 21 May 1667.1 On his death, the barony of Clinton fell into abeyance between his aunts.1

     Jeanne de Gulière was the daughter of Pierre de Gulière, Seigneur de Verune.2 She married Edward Clinton, 5th Earl of Clinton, son of Edward Clinton, Lord Clinton and Lady Anne Holles, in 1674.1 She died on 25 August 1688, without issue.1
     As a result of her marriage, Jeanne de Gulière was styled as Countess of Lincoln in 1674. From 1674, her married name became Clinton.1

     Elizabeth Garland was the daughter of Charles Tuller Garland.1 She married, firstly, Count Jacques de Pret Roose on 7 July 1924.1 She married, secondly, Charles Loraine Carlos Clarke, son of Charles Carlos Clarke, on 9 December 1936.1 She married, thirdly, John Harvey Thursby, son of Reverend Harvey William Gustavus Thursby and Margaret Emily Mount, on 6 January 1949.1 She died on 5 March 1973 at Nantes, Bretagne, France, killed in a DC-9 crash.1
     From 7 July 1924, her married name became de Pret Roose.1 From 9 December 1936, her married name became Carlos Clarke.1 From 6 January 1949, her married name became Thursby.1

     Roger de Clifford, 2nd Lord Clifford was born on 21 January 1299/0.1 He was the son of Robert de Clifford, 1st Lord Clifford and Maud de Clare.1 He was also reported to have been born on 2 February 1299/0.2 He died circa April 1322 at York, Yorkshire, England, executed, without issue.1 An inquest post mortem was held for his on 12 February 1326/27.1
     Roger de Clifford, 2nd Lord Clifford succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Clifford [E., 1299] on 24 June 1314.1 He fought in the Battle of Boroughbridge on 16 March 1321/22, where he was taken prisoner, after joining Thomas, Earl of Lancaster's rebellion.1
