     Lt.-Col. Arthur Edmund Thursby was born on 19 January 1861 at Wormleighton, Warwickshire, England.1 He was the son of Arthur Harvey Thursby and Mary Anne Kershaw.1 He was christened on 17 February 1861 at Wormleighton, Warwickshire, England.1 He married Maud Cartright, daughter of Henry Cartright and Jane Holbech, on 21 February 1889 at St. Paul's Church, St. Leonards-On-Sea, Sussex, England.1 He died on 6 March 1902 at age 41 at Sutherland, Cape Province, South Africa.1 He was buried at Sutherland, Cape Province, South Africa.1
