     Sir John Barker, 1st Bt. was born circa 1609 at Grimston Hall, Trimley, Suffolk, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Barker and Judith Stoddart.1 He married Frances Jermy, daughter of Sir John Jermy and Margaret Saye.1 He died between 11 May 1652 and 17 June 1652.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 17 June 1652.1
     He was created 1st Baronet Barker, of Grimston Hall, in Trimley, co. Suffolk [England] on 17 March 1621/22.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Suffolk from 1634 to 1635.1 His last will was dated 11 May 1652.
