Sir William Robert Clayton, 6th Bt. was born on 3 August 1842 at Great Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England.3 He was the son of William Capel Clayton and Georgiana Wood.2 He married Aimée Gertrude Mackenzie, daughter of Edward Mackenzie, on 29 October 1872 at Fawley, Buckinghamshire, England.3 He died on 7 October 1914 at age 72, without issue.1
