     He gained the rank of officer in the 1st Life Guards.3 He gained the rank of officer in the 15th Hussars.3 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars.3 He lived at Roundway Park, Wiltshire, EnglandG.4

     Major Robert Bartholomew Lawes was born on 3 August 1824 at Midlands, Fulham, London, England.2 He was the son of Robert Lawes and Elizabeth Gilham Bull.2,3 He married Emma Selina Murray, daughter of Reverend Edward Murray and Ruperta Catherine Wright, on 25 April 1854.1 He died on 11 November 1907 at age 83 at Dover, Kent, England.1

     Ivy Maud Dering was born on 3 February 1893.2 She was the daughter of Sir Henry Edward Dering, 10th Bt. and Mary Astel Rosina Jameson.1,2 She married, firstly, Captain Rupert Auriol Conant Murray, son of Colonel Charles Edward Gostling Murray and Margaret Frances Elizabeth Conant, on 12 August 1913.1 She married, secondly, Brigadier Hector Robert Hume Greenfield, son of Lt.-Col. Hume Greenfield, on 12 November 1918.1 She died on 22 July 1947 at age 54.1
     From 12 August 1913, her married name became Murray. From 12 November 1918, her married name became Greenfield.

     Brigadier Hector Robert Hume Greenfield was the son of Lt.-Col. Hume Greenfield.1 He married Ivy Maud Dering, daughter of Sir Henry Edward Dering, 10th Bt. and Mary Astel Rosina Jameson, on 12 November 1918.1 He married Mary Patricia Traill, daughter of Major Henry Edward O'Brien Traill and Ella Frances Kerr, on 17 March 1948.2 He died on 19 February 1975.
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders.1

     Sir Henry Edward Dering, 10th Bt. was born on 9 May 1866.2 He was the son of Sir Henry Nevill Dering, 9th Bt. and Rosa Ann Underwood.2 He married Mary Astel Rosina Jameson, daughter of William Jameson, on 15 November 1890.2 He died on 14 June 1931 at age 65.2
     He lived at Fascadale, Ardishaig, Argyllshire, Scotland.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Kent.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.2 He fought in the Boer War.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Weast Kent Mounted Rifles.2 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Dering, of Surrenden Dering, co. Kent [E., 1626] on 25 August 1906.2 He fought in the First World War, in France.2

Douglas William Alexander Dalziel Mackenzie and Patience Elizabeth Hoare, on 26 May 1944.1 He died in 1993.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Seaforth Highlanders.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1944.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1957.1
