     Very Rev. Baptist Proby was born in 1726.2 He was the son of John Proby and Hon. Jane Leveson-Gower.1 He married Mary Russell, daughter of Reverend John Russell.2 He died on 18 January 1807.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He was the Rector between 1752 and 1807 at Doddington, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He was the Rector at Thornhaugh, Northamptonshire, England.2 They had three other daughters.2 He held the office of Dean of Lichfield between 1776 and 1807.1,2

     Mary Russell is the daughter of Reverend John Russell.1 She married Very Rev. Baptist Proby, son of John Proby and Hon. Jane Leveson-Gower.2
     Her married name became Proby.1 They had three other daughters.2
