     John Power, 5th Baron le Power and Coroghmore was born in 1599.1 He was the son of John 'Og' Power and Hon. Helen Barry.1 He married Ruth Pypho, daughter of Robert Pypho.2 He died in 1661/62.2
     He succeeded to the title of 5th Baron le Power and Coroghmore, co. Waterford [I., 1535] on 8 August 1607.1 On 30 March 1629 he had livery of his father's lands.2 Circa 1630 he became a lunatic.2 In 1654 he thereby escaped 'transplantation.2'
