     Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 5th Bt. was born on 20 March 1844.3 He was the son of Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 4th Bt. and Jane Abercromby.2 He married, firstly, Charlotte Mary Douglas Monro, daughter of Major William Monro and Elizabeth Abercromby, on 8 December 1875.3 He married, secondly, Ivie Muriel Helen Urquhart, daughter of Major Ives McLean Urquhart, on 9 November 1904.3 He died on 13 March 1907 at age 62, without male issue.3
     Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 5th Bt. graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).3 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [G.B., 1786] on 18 December 1873.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire.3
