Ean Francis Cecil was born on 8 June 1880.2 He is the son of Lord Francis Horace Pierrepont Cecil and Edith Brooks.2 He married, firstly, Hilda Mary Daubeny Wemyss, daughter of Colonel Francis Charteris Wemyss and Louisa Ann Daubeny, on 12 December 1901.2 He married, secondly, Minnie Reekie, daughter of William Reekie, on 24 September 1941.2 He died on 22 February 1942 at age 61.2
