Mortimer Henry Marion Durand was born in 1898.2 He was the son of Colonel Sir Edward Law Durand, 1st Bt. and Maude Ellen Heber-Percy.1 He and Evelyn Mary Carroll were divorced.2 He married Evelyn Mary Carroll, daughter of Captain unknown Carroll, on 30 August 1922.2 He died on 18 February 1969.2
     Lt.-Cdr. Mortimer Henry Marion Durand gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 On 28 January 1931 married 2nd Beatrice Garvan-Sheridan (d 24 May 1990), daughter of Judge Sheridan, of Sydney, NSW, by Beatrice Maude, Baroness de Tuyll.2 In 1939 served WW I and WW II.2
