     Sir John Powlett Orde, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 June 1803 at Gloucester Place, Marylebone, London, England.1,3 He was the son of Admiral Sir John Orde, 1st Bt. and Jane Frere.2 He married, firstly, Eliza Woollery Campbell, daughter of Peter Campbell and Elizabeth Lois Woollery, on 15 June 1826 at Walton, Surrey, England.3 He married, secondly, Beatrice Edwards, daughter of James Edwards and Catherine Bromhead, on 14 June 1832.4 He died on 11 December 1878 at age 75 at Kilmory House, Argyllshire, Scotland.3
     Sir John Powlett Orde, 2nd Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He matriculated at Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 10 April 1821.3 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Orde, of Morpeth, co. Northumberland [G.B., 1790] on 19 February 1824.1 He graduated from Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1826 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1,3 In 1828 he inherited the esate of Kilmory from his first wife's father.5 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Argyll and Bute Militia.3 He had one other daughter by his first wife, and two sons by his second wife, both of whom died young.1

     Peter Campbell was born in 1697/98.1 He was the son of Dugald Campbell, 6th of Kilmory and Margaret Maxwell.1 He married, firstly, Mary Barclay on 29 March 1729 at Hanover, Jamaica.2 He married, secondly, Deborah Woodstock after May 1732 at St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.2 He died on 8 August 1739.1,2 He was buried at Fish River, Jamaica.2
     Peter Campbell was also known as Patrick.1 He lived between 1726 and 1733 at Westmorland, England.2 He was a planter at Fish River, Jamaica.1

     Deborah Woodstock was born circa 1706.2 She married Peter Campbell, son of Dugald Campbell, 6th of Kilmory and Margaret Maxwell, after May 1732 at St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.1
     Deborah Woodstock was also known as Deborah Lewis.2 From after 1732, her married name became Campbell.2

     Dugald Campbell, 6th of Kilmory was born circa 1665 at Kilmorie, Argyllshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Reverend Patrick Campbell and Jean McIver Campbell.1 He married Margaret Maxwell circa 1693 at Renfrewshire, Scotland. He died after 14 November 1733.1
