     Colonel Thomas Crawford Boyd was born on 26 August 1886.4 He was the son of John Thomas Evans Boyd and Mary Crawford.2,3 He married Dora Godsall, daughter of Edward Godsall, in 1915.2 He died on 9 November 1967 at age 81.4
     Colonel Thomas Crawford Boyd usually went by his middle name of Crawford.4 He was educated at St. Andrew's School, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales.2 He was educated at Coleraine Academic Institute, Coleraine, County Londonderry, Ireland.2 He graduated with a Diploma of Public Health (D.P.H.).2 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (M.R.C.P.I.).4 He was Inspector-General of Civil Hospitals between 1939 and 1943.2 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (F.R.C.S.I.).2 He retired from the military in 1943, with the rank of Colonel, late of the Indian Medical Service.2 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1944.4 He was Professor of Chemistry at Medical College of Calcutta, Calcutta, India.2 He lived at Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex, England.4
