     Sir William Sherbrooke Ramsey Norcott was born on 12 December 1804 at Chelmsford, Essex, England.1 He was the son of General Sir Amos Godsell Robert Norcott and Elizabeth Noble.1 He married Frances Marrianne Durant.1 He died on 23 January 1886 at age 81 at St. Leonard's-on-Sea, Sussex, England.1
     Sir William Sherbrooke Ramsey Norcott fought in the Crimean War.1 He held the office of Lieutenant Governor of Jersey in 1873.1
     He had seven other children.1
