     Francis Hepburn of Beinstoun was born circa 1600.1 He is the son of Patrick Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn and Marion Adamson.2 He married, secondly, Katharine Swinton. He married, firstly, Agnes Preston, daughter of David Preston and Margaret Ker, on 5 October 1630.1
     He was ancestor of the Hepburns of Beanston.2 He lived at Beinstoun, East Lothian, ScotlandG.

     Helen Swinton was born in 1598. She was the daughter of Robert Swinton, 20th of that Ilk and Jean Hepburn.1,2 She married John Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, son of Patrick Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn and Marion Adamson, in 1626.1 She died in 1659.
     From 1626, her married name became Hepburn.

     Patrick Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn was the son of John Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn and Helen Swinton.1 He married Sarah Riddell, daughter of Sir Walter Riddell of that Ilk, 2nd Bt., in 1656.1 He died in 1696, without issue.1

     Reverend William Jocelyn Palmer was born on 5 February 1778.1 He was the son of William Palmer and Mary Horsley.1 He married Dorothea Richardson Roundell, daughter of Reverend William Roundell, on 10 September 1810.1 He died on 28 September 1853 at age 75.1
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.)1 He was Rector between 1802 and 1852 at Finmere, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was Rector between 1802 and 1852 at Mixbury, Oxfordshire, England.1 He had two other daughters (unmarried.)1
