     George Phillips Ley was the son of George Ley and Anne Phillips.² He married Sarah Potts, daughter of John Potts, on 11 October 1841.¹ He died on 28 January 1886, an only surviving child:.¹
     He was High Bailiff Staffordshire County Ct.¹ Burton-on-Trent.¹ He lived Winshill.¹ On 25 October 1821 baptised.¹

     Sarah Potts was the daughter of John Potts.² She married George Phillips Ley, son of George Ley and Anne Phillips, on 11 October 1841.¹ She died on 7 June 1883.¹
      Yoxall.¹ She was Staffordshire.¹ Her married name became Ley. She lived White Meer Farm.¹

     Agnes Preston is the daughter of David Preston and Margaret Ker.¹ She married Francis Hepburn of Beinstoun, son of Patrick Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn and Marion Adamson, on 5 October 1630.¹
      From 5 October 1630, her married name became Hepburn.¹

     Georgina Townsend Willis was the daughter of George Willis.² She married Sir Francis Ley, 1st Bt., son of George Phillips Ley and Sarah Potts, on 24 August 1870.¹ She died on 23 December 1886.¹
     She was Yorkshire.¹ 3rd.¹ Whitby.¹ Her married name became Ley. She lived Aislaby Hall.¹

     Henry Gordon Ley was born on 12 March 1874.¹ He was the son of Sir Francis Ley, 1st Bt. and Georgina Townsend Willis.² He and Rhoda Prodgers were divorced.¹ He married Rhoda Prodgers, daughter of Herbert Prodgers, on 6 September 1899.¹ He married Mabel Annie Brocklehurst, daughter of Sir Philip Brocklehurst, on 29 September 1927.¹ He and Mabel Annie Brocklehurst were divorced.¹ He died on 27 September 1944 at age 70.¹
     He was Major TFR WW I, Lord Manors Lazonby, Staffield, Glassonby and Kirkoswald, Cumberland.¹ Daughter of Charles Grey, of Anerley.¹ He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) Derbys and Cumberland.¹ He was also known as 2nd Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].¹ On 23 January 1939 married 3rd Dorothea Gertrude (d 1986), formerly wife of 2nd Baron Borwick (qv).¹

     Agnes Willis Ley was born on 4 June 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Francis Ley, 1st Bt. and Georgina Townsend Willis.² She died on 7 March 1958 at age 86, unmarried.¹
