     Lt.-Col. Wilmot Blomefield was born on 26 November 1878.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Wilmot Peregrine Blomefield, 4th Bt. and Lilias Napier.1 He married Jessie Leila Hodges, daughter of William Abraham Hodges, on 5 December 1907.1 He died on 5 July 1926 at age 47.1
     Lt.-Col. Wilmot Blomefield gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Engineers.1 He was decorated with the award of Chevalier, Legion of Honour.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1
