     Joseph Atkins Quintal was born on 10 August 1872 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of Nathaniel Quintal and Abby Louisa Taber Quintal.¹ He married, firstly, Amy Arabella Adams, daughter of Byron Stanley Mitchell Adams and Maria Edith McCoy, on 4 May 1892 at Norfolk Island^G.² He married, secondly, Amy Eliza Adams, daughter of Edna Adams, in 1926.² He was buried at Norfolk Island Cemetery, Norfolk Island.³
     Joseph Atkins Quintal also went by the nick-name of Att.²

     Elizabeth Rosamond Quintal was born on 3 March 1875 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Nathaniel Quintal and Abby Louisa Taber Quintal.¹ She married John Fuller Evans, son of William Evans and Rebecca Christian, on 4 January 1893 at Norfolk Island^G.² She died on 10 August 1900 at age 25 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     Alice Gertrude Christian was born on 27 November 1863 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Christian and Miriam Young.² She married George Washington Jenks Quintal, son of Nathaniel Quintal and Abby Louisa Taber Quintal, on 30 January 1884 at Norfolk Island^G.² She died on 3 September 1912 at age 48 at Norfolk Island^G.¹
     From 30 January 1884, her married name became Quintal.²

     Gertrude Christian Quintal was born circa 1882 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of George Washington Jenks Quintal and Alice Gertrude Christian.¹ She died in 1916, from burns.¹
