     Maitland Falcon was born in 1769 at Largs, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Michael Falcon and Barbara Gordon.1 He married Emma Helen Christian, daughter of Joseph Christian and Margaret Wattleworth, in August 1803.1 He died in 1848 at Workington, Cumberland, England.1
     Maitland Falcon was a banker.1
