James Campbell of Lawers was the son of John Campbell of Lawers.1 He married, firstly, Marion Forrester, daughter of Sir Walter Forrester.1 He married, thirdly, Isobel Hay.1 He married, secondly, Janet Gray, daughter of Andrew Gray, 2nd Lord Gray and Janet Keith, circa 1530.1 He died on 12 February 1561/62.1
On 16 June 1525 he had a charter of the territorial Barony of Lawers from King James V.1

John Campbell of Lawers was the son of Sir Colin Campbell, 1st of Glenorchy and Margaret de Stirveling.2,1 He married, firstly, Agnes Moncreiff.2 He married, secondly, Christian Ogilvy before 1513.2 He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.2
