     He was given the name of James Algernon Tomkinson at birth.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 In 1933 his name was legally changed to James Algernon Palmer-Tomkinson.1

Sir George Joseph Palmer, 3rd Bt.1

     Sir George Joseph Palmer, 3rd Bt. was born on 20 December 1811.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Thomas Palmer, 2nd Bt. and Harriot Pepperell.2 He married Emily Elizabeth Holford, daughter of George Peter Holford and Anne Daniell, on 26 February 1836.1 He died on 22 February 1866 at age 54.1
     He was given the name of George Joseph Hudson at birth.2 On 13 November 1813 his name was legally changed to George Joseph Palmer.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Hudson, of Wanlip Hall, co. Leicester [G.B., 1791] on 30 April 1827.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire.1
