     Sir Robert Peckham was born circa 1516.2 He was the son of Sir Edmund Peckham and Anne Cheyne.2 He married Mary Bray, daughter of Edmund Bray, 1st Lord Braye and Jane Halliwell.1 He died on 10 September 1569 at Rome, Italy.2
     He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) from 1553 to 1558.2 He was appointed Knight on 2 October 1553.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Buckinghamshire in 1554.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire from 1556 to 1557.2

     He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kent in 1597.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lewes in 1601.2 He was appointed Knight in 1601.2
