     William Ramsay was the son of Peter Ramsay.2 He married Bethia Hamilton, daughter of Robert Hamilton, 6th of Wishaw and Susan Balfour, on 9 December 1791.1,2
     He was a banker.2 He lived at Gogal, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1

     Mary Euphemia Ramsay was the daughter of William Ramsay and Bethia Hamilton.2 She married Sir Thomas Woolaston White, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Woollaston White, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Blagg, on 31 March 1827.3 She died on 3 June 1861.3
     From 31 March 1827, her married name became White.

     Helen Baillie was the daughter of Andrew Baillie of Parbroath.1 She married James Hamilton, 1st of Stevenston, son of Robert Hamilton, younger of Wishaw and Jean Hamilton, on 10 November 1736.1 She died circa April 1758.1 She was buried on 22 April 1758.1
     From 10 November 1736, her married name became Hamilton.1

Clarice Jessie Evelyn Hamilton was born on 10 October 1881.1 She was the daughter of James Hamilton, 9th Lord Belhaven and Stenton and Georgina Watson.1 She married Francis Edward Basil Napier, 12th Lord Napier of Merchistoun, son of William John George Napier, 11th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Harriet Blake Armstrong Lumb, on 12 December 1899.1 She died on 11 May 1951 at age 69.1
     From 12 December 1899, her married name became Napier.

     Francis Edward Basil Napier, 12th Lord Napier of Merchistoun was born on 19 November 1876.2 He is the son of William John George Napier, 11th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Harriet Blake Armstrong Lumb.2 He married Hon. Clarice Jessie Evelyn Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton, 9th Lord Belhaven and Stenton and Georgina Watson, on 12 December 1899.1 He died on 22 March 1941 at age 64.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Selkirkshire.2 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Scott, of Thirlestane [N.S., 1666] on 6 December 1913.2 He succeeded as the 12th Lord Napier of Merchistoun [S., 1627] on 6 December 1913.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Ettrick of Ettrick, co. Selkirk [U.K., 1872] on 6 December 1913.1 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 7th King's Royal Rifle Corps and Royal Air Force.2

Muriel Louise Hamilton was born on 1 February 1884.1 She was the daughter of James Hamilton, 9th Lord Belhaven and Stenton and Georgina Watson.1 She married Major William Michael Jamieson Martin, son of John M. Martin, on 29 March 1910.1 She died on 26 January 1961 at age 76, leaving issue.1
     From 29 March 1910, her married name became Martin.1
