     James Ogilvy, 3rd Lord Ogilvy of Airlie was the son of Sir John Ogilvy, 2nd Lord Ogilvy of Airlie and Jean Graham.1 He married Margaret Lindsay, daughter of Alexander Lindsay of Auchtermonzie, 7th Earl of Crawford and Isobel Campbell.2 He died between 1513 and 29 November 1524.1
     James Ogilvy, 3rd Lord Ogilvy of Airlie succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Ogilvy of Airlie [S., 1491] before 9 January 1505/6.1
