     Robert Lyon was the son of Reverend William Lyon, 3rd of Wester Ogil and Agnes Glas.1 He married Mary Miller on 18 August 1755.1 He died on 14 September 1801.1
     He lived at Old Buckenham, Norfolk, England.1 He lived at Logyrait, Perthshire, Scotland.1

     Reverend Robert Lyon was born on 17 February 1685.1 He was the son of George Lyon, 2nd of Wester Ogil and Jean Nisbet.2 He married Jean Dalgleish on 8 December 1714.1
     He was educated at St. Andrew's University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.1 He was Minister in 1712 at Kilfanus, Perthshire, ScotlandG.1

George Lyon1

     George Lyon was born on 28 July 1688.1 He was the son of George Lyon, 2nd of Wester Ogil and Jean Nisbet.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Wardroper, daughter of unknown Wardroper, on 21 November 1716.1 He married, secondly, Janet Duncan, daughter of Reverend Alexander Duncan, on 16 January 1738.1 He married, thirdly, Jean Chapeman on 18 February 1747.1
     He lived at Overgate of Dundee, Dundee, Angus, Scotland.1 He held the office of Burgess of Dundee in 1717.1 He was Dean of Guild between 1738 and 1748.1 He held the office of Baillie of Dundee in 1825.1

     Reverend Sylvester Lyon was born circa 1641.1 He was the son of John Lyon, 1st of Wester Ogil and Catherine Ogilvy of Balfour.2 He died on 1 May 1713.1
     He was educated at St. Andrew's University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.1 He was Minister in 1667 at Kinnettles, Angus, Scotland.1 He was Minister in 1669 at Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland.1

     Alexander Gordon, 3rd Earl of Huntly was the son of George Gordon, 2nd Earl of Huntly and Lady Elizabeth Hay.1,2 He married by contract, firstly, Lady Jean Stewart, daughter of John Stewart, 1st Earl of Atholl and Lady Margaret Douglas, on 14 October 1474.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Gray, daughter of Andrew Gray, 2nd Lord Gray and Janet Keith, after 27 July 1511.3 He died on 21 January 1523/24.1
     He was granted Strathavon, Banffshire and the Brae of Lochaber.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Huntly [S., 1445] in June 1501.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland]1 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513, where he commanded the Scots left wing.1 He held the office of Member of the Council Regency in 1517.1
