     Horatio de Vere, 1st and last Baron Vere of Tilbury was born in 1565 at Crepping Hall, Wakes Colne, Essex, England.2 He was the son of Geoffrey de Vere and Elizabeth Hardkyn. He married Mary Tracy, daughter of Sir John Tracy and Anne Throckmorton, in November 1607 at Hailey Abbey, Toddington, Gloucestershire, England.2 He died on 2 May 1635 at Whitehall, Westminster, London, England.2
     He was created 1st Baron Vere of Tilbury.

     Mary Tracy was born on 18 May 1581 at Toddington, Gloucestershire, England.1 She was the daughter of Sir John Tracy and Anne Throckmorton.1 She married Horatio de Vere, 1st and last Baron Vere of Tilbury, son of Geoffrey de Vere and Elizabeth Hardkyn, in November 1607 at Hailey Abbey, Toddington, Gloucestershire, England.1 She died on 25 December 1671 at age 90 at Kirby Hall, Little Ouseburn, Yorkshire, England.1
      From November 1607, her married name became de Vere.

Anne de Vere was born in 1618 at The Netherlands.3 She was the daughter of Horatio de Vere, 1st and last Baron Vere of Tilbury and Mary Tracy.1 She married Thomas Fairfax, 3rd Lord Fairfax of Cameron, son of Ferdinando Fairfax, 2nd Lord Fairfax of Cameron and Lady Mary Sheffield, on 20 June 1637.4 She died on 16 October 1665 at Appleton Nun, Bolton Percy, Yorkshire, England.3
      Her married name became Fairfax.

     Thomas Fairfax, 3rd Lord Fairfax of Cameron was born on 17 January 1611/12.1 He was the son of Ferdinando Fairfax, 2nd Lord Fairfax of Cameron and Lady Mary Sheffield.1 He married Hon. Anne de Vere, daughter of Horatio de Vere, 1st and last Baron Vere of Tilbury and Mary Tracy, on 20 June 1637.1 He died on 12 November 1671 at age 59.1
     He was invested as a Knight in January 1640/41.1 He gained the rank of General of Horse in 1642 in the service of the Parliamentary Forces.1 He fought in the Battle of Marston Moor in 1644.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Parliamentary Army from January 1644/45 to 1650.1 He fought in the Battle of Naseby on 14 June 1645.1 He fought in the Battle of Langport on 10 July 1645.1 He held the office of Constable of the Tower of London between 1647 and 1650.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Fairfax of Cameron [S., 1627] on 14 March 1647/48.1 He held the office of Member of the Council of State between 1649 and 1651.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cirencester from 1648/49 to 1653.1 He held the office of Lord of the Isle of Man from 1652 to 1660.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1654 to 1655.1 He held the office of Member of the Council of State from 1659 to 1660.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Yorkshire from 1659 to 1660.1
