     Major Sir Crispin Hamlyn Agnew of Lochnaw, 11th Bt. was born on 13 May 1944.1 He is the son of Sir Fulque Melville Gerald Noel Agnew of Lochnaw, 10th Bt. and Swanzie Erskine.2 He married Susan Strang Steel, daughter of Jock Wykeham Strang Steel and Lesley Graham, on 27 September 1980.1
     He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was a member of the Royal Navy expedition to East Greenland in 1966.1 In 1968 he lead the Army expedition to Greenland.1 Between 1970 and 1971 he was a member of the joint service expedition to Elephant Island, Antarctica.1 Between 1972 and 1973 he lead the joint service expedition to Chilean Patagonia.1 In 1975 he was a member of the Army Nuptse expedition.1 He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Agnew, of Lochnaw, co. Wigtown [N.S., 1629] on 28 August 1975.1 In 1976 he was a member of the joint British and Royal Nepalese Army Everest expedition.1 He held the office of Slains Pursuivant between 1978 and 1981, to the Earl of Erroll.1 In 1980 he lead the Army expedition to Api North-West Nepal.1 He held the office of Unicorn Pursuivant between 1981 and 1986.1 He was a practising Advocate in 1982.1 He held the office of Rothesay Herald __ _from 1986.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Highland Fusiliers.1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1995.1 He lived in 2006 at 6 Palmerston Road, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1
