     Colonel Daniel Stewart Thomas Bingham Dixon, 2nd Baron Glentoran was born on 19 January 1912.2 He was the son of Herbert Dixon, 1st Baron Glentoran and Hon. Emily Ina Florence Bingham.2 He married Lady Diana Mary Wellesley, daughter of Henry Arthur Mornington Wellesley, 3rd Earl Cowley and Clare Florence Mary Stapleton, on 20 July 1933.3 He died on 22 July 1995 at age 83 at Drumadarragh House, Doagh, County Antrim, IrelandG.4
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of officer in the Grenadier Guards.2 He fought in the Second World War, including Fnrace and Monte Cassino.2 He retired from the military in 1947, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Belfast Bloomfield [Northern Ireland] between 1950 and 1961.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dixon [U.K., 1903] on 20 July 1950.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Glentoran, of Ballyalloly, co. Down [U.K., 1939] on 20 July 1950.3 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1952.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Northern Ireland] in 1953.2 He held the office of Speaker of the Senate [Northern Ireland] between 1964 and 1973.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1973.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of belfast between 1976 and 1985.2

     Major Thomas Robin Valerian Dixon, 3rd Baron Glentoran was born on 21 April 1935.1 He is the son of Colonel Daniel Stewart Thomas Bingham Dixon, 2nd Baron Glentoran and Lady Diana Mary Wellesley.1 He married, firstly, Rona Alice Gabrielle Colville, daughter of Captain George Cecil Colville and Gabrielle Palmer, on 12 January 1959.2 He and Rona Alice Gabrielle Colville were divorced in 1975.2 He married, secondly, Alwyn Gillian Mason, daughter of Hubert Arbuckle Mason, on 2 January 1979.1 He and Alwyn Gillian Mason were divorced in 1988.1 He married, thirdly, Margaret Ann Rainey on 3 January 1990.1

Sir Stanley Cecil James Colville and Lady Adelaide Jane Meade, on 19 September 1935.1
