     Admiral Edward Granville George Howard, 1st and last Baron Lanerton of Lanerton was born on 23 December 1809.2 He was the son of George Howard, 6th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Georgiana Dorothy Cavendish.2 He married Diana Ponsonby, daughter of Hon. George Ponsonby and Diana Juliana Margaretta Bouverie, on 16 August 1842.1 He died on 8 October 1880 at age 70, without issue.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Morpeth between 1833 and 1837.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Morpeth between 1840 and 1852.2 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1870 in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He was created 1st Baron Lanerton of Lanerton, co. Cumberland [U.K.] on 8 January 1874.2
     On his death, his barony became extinct.2

     Mary Priscilla Harriet Parke was the daughter of James Parke, 1st Baron Wensleydale of Walton and Cecilia Arabella Frances Barlow.2 She married Hon. Charles Wentworth George Howard, son of George Howard, 6th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Georgiana Dorothy Cavendish, on 8 August 1842.3 She died on 26 August 1843.3
      Her married name became Howard.

Charles Wentworth George Howard and Mary Priscilla Harriet Parke.3 He married Hon. Rosalind Frances Stanley, daughter of Edward John Stanley, 2nd Baron Stanley of Alderley and Hon. Henrietta Maria Dillon-Lee, on 4 October 1864 at Alderley, Cheshire, England.2 He died on 16 April 1911 at age 67 at Brackland, Hindhead, Surrey, England, from heart failure.2 He was buried on 20 April 1911 at Lanercost Abbey, England.2 His will was probated on 15 June 1911, at £43,970.2

      Her married name became Grey.
