     Admiral Charles Powell Hamilton was born on 26 December 1747.3 He was the son of Lord Anne Hamilton and Anna Charlotta Maria Powell.1 He married Lucretia Prosser, daughter of George Augustus Prosser and Lucretia Timewell, in May 1777.3 He died on 12 March 1825 at age 77.1
     He gained the rank of Admiral in the Royal Navy.1

     Anna Charlotta Maria Powell was the daughter of Charles Powell and Mary Powell.1 She married Lord Anne Hamilton, son of Lt.-Gen. James Hamilton, 4th Duke of Hamilton and Elizabeth Gerard, in October 1742.2 She died on 26 July 1791.2
     From October 1742, her married name became Hamilton.
