     Mary Fanny Ellen Hankey was the daughter of William Hankey.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. James Charles Hope Johnstone, son of Commander Charles James Hope Johnstone and Eliza Wood, on 17 May 1859.¹ She died on 10 September 1914.¹
